Sewing Playday - Curves & Circles - June 15

Come to our June Playday! Sit in on a presentation and learn to use the circular embroidery attachment that works on all of our Bernina sewing machines. See how you can use it to make curved patchwork, circular appliqué, couch over decorative threads, and use your decorative stitches to sew in circles. And you can even use your Bernina software to create some of the same looks! Come see how easy this neat attachment is to use on your sewing machines – and what spectacular looks you can achieve while you are “playing” with your sewing machines! Then stay after the presentation and sew on our sewing machines – they’ll be all set up so you can play with the feet, attachments and techniques you’ve just seen. You’ll go home with a CD of the presentation, along with handouts of everything you’ll see at the class.

Software & Embroidery Playday - Quilting - June 17

Come to our June Playday! Sit in on a presentation and learn how to take an existing design and transform it into a quilting design! You have hundreds of designs that came with your software, and now you can have hundreds more - all by knowing how to modify what you already have. Learn to alter, reshape and manipulate what you already own and make something new! Then stay after the presentation and learn more about the embroidery process. Since we've learned how to create quilting designs in the software, now you can learn how to get the design onto your quilt. Find out what stabilizers will work best, which threads can be used, and how to place the design where you want it on the quilt. You can even quilt your borders with embroidery! You'll go home with a CD of the presentation, along with handouts of everything you'll see at the class.
